Ploverdrive

Ploverdrive is a simple endless typing game, made with the Open Steno Project community in mind. Type the first word in the upper or lower texts to steer up or down and dodge the clouds. Type faster or slower to speed up or slow down (the wind-curl markers are at approximately one-syllable intervals).

This is a first proof-of-concept build: I only have about seven hours of work into this. But it seems fun already so I'll most likely continue to develop it.

I've provided a Windows build, or you can download the LOVE 2D engine and run the .love file on Linux or Mac. Note that the .love file is just a renamed .zip file so you can unzip it to see the source code. It currently uses the quote database from https://monkeytype.com/ but if you're using the source you can replace quotes.txt with any text file: it will treat each line as a unit of text to be randomly chosen.
